Def Jux at their most extreme and Tenor Saw ringing the alarm. I can't think of anything that can tie these two songs together so just obtain them already.

Time for something aligned with typical monday morning cynical pleasures.
This lolpastiche was enough to make even Stuart Price smile.

Cylob - Living in the 1980's (Extended Dance Mix) (YSI) 320

Cheer up vince

Gary Numan - Conversation (YSI) 256

Mischief Brew edit of Harry Thumann, quite bep in most regards. The original can be seen as a direct precursor to Emperor Machini in its distinct use of rolling bass lines and synths, with horns that hark back to the golden age of Paul Smith's technicolor film scores. The re-edit just means you can play it out without worrying about the guitars.

Harry Thumann - Underwater (Mischief Brew Re-Edit)(YSI)

Best remix of Axel F since .......?

Harold Faltermeyer - Axel F (Ben Liebrand Mix)(YSI)

Rare house post on staiii. Its a 1989 track from Lil' Louis that apparently 'changed house music' in that the genre finally crossed from its raw Chicago origins to a much more polished main-stream sound. Why Daft punk shout out to this cretan in teachers but fail to include so many other legit mahns i don't understand. If the groove sounds familiar don't feel special.. its been sampled everywhere from Josh Wink to Kylie minogue and Lolil' Kim.

Lil' Louis - French Kiss (Original mix) (YSI) 320

Martin Circus - Disco Circus(YSI) 192

Set It Off

Strafe's classic.

Paul Hardcastle: a man with a morbid love for the creative power trapped inside silicon chips. The above album cover, which probably began as an pseudo-honest shout-out to the devices that saw him come to fame (and should by now have been re-directed to the halls of pop-art), provides more than a solid testament to his organic BIOS operandi. The breakthrough hit '19' to which he, althoughly precariously, holds his name, has perhaps been elevated to too high a saddle; leaving his other works jostling for a hand hold on any dangling stirrups available.
Make an assessment of the following slippery B- Side:

Paul Hardcastle - King Tut (U.S. Remix) (YSI)

J*Davey - Dirty Love

Motion Sickness

Motion - Forever(Z) 320

MATERIAL

Whilst not actually off Hallucination Engine, this track is dope. Feat. super sick Laswellian production that gave birth to Fab 5 Freddy's rap career during the early 80's, it also releases probably the most famous sample in turntable history (last two seconds). Staiii presents the b-side to Fab 5 Freddy's first single Change The Beat.

Fab 5 Freddy - Change The Beat (Female Vocals)(Z)

Issey Miyake Saved Hip Hop

As on ode to Kid Elliot's return to the paper trail here is some new hip hop that is sick. 50 Cents new song however is fail. Become aware of the extreme Issey Miyake name drop in the second track.

Pac Div - U Know My Style(Z) 192

PLease watch this gif whilst playing this track. LMAO.

If you're not familiar with this track you may have it mis-labelled as either Ramstein - Blade Theme (techno remix), Crystal Method - Blood Rave, or Finkle Vs. Einhorn - Barack Obama (pet detective remix)

Fresh from mixing the soundtrack to Gareth Pugh's S/S 09 Paris show, artist Matthew Stone comes from the deep end of the shimmering disco pool to flail 44 minutes of Tate Modern sanctioned tunes in front of our collective auricles.

A Split Second - Flesh (Z) 192

Belgians have always partied hard. In 1986, as the rest of Europe passively embraced the new romantic movement, dance oriented creeps Praga Khan, The Lords of Acid, the Confettis and A Split Second were mesmerising vast digitally orgasming crowds at the hallowed diamond-shaped Boccaccio nightclub in Destelburgen. The parties that went down were apparently all time - unlucky for us rave nostalgists the club was shut down as the drug taking reached delphic levels (even by Belgian standards). A Belgian study has recently observed increasing examples of spontaneous pneumothorax (sudden lung collapse)in techno clubs all over the small nation, caused by ravers standing wayyy too close to large speakers -- is grave raving finally making its literal debut?

Black Forest Rave

Although this tracks outta LDN, one could easily imagine the techno viking broadcasting it live and direct from a pulpit set upon the summit of the Felberg, as an invitation to the German nation to release the beast amidst the pines of the Schwarzwald.

Experience

The rumours have begun.

Australians let us all rejoyce. Is this land girt by sea soon to be harbouring the greatest rave troupe ever to melt lino in the Dance Energy studios? Confirmation of these whispers will see the boiler room face a mercury rise of unfamiliar severity. Dig out your smiley paraphernalia, set M1 resonance to self oscillate - and in the words of Liam Howlett - rave on.

Sharon Gree, Lisa Lee and Debbie Deb - Us Girls

Roberts In Your System

Robert Palmer, known to most of you through the gratuitous airtime of his 'Simply Irresistable' on Mix 106.5, WSFM and Music Max, also made some good songs. This track in particular comes off his critically unacclaimed 1983 album, Pride, when he was still doing Gary Numan covers and surfing the new wave.

CERN labs in Geneva are cooking up some seeriouss shit as we speak. The largest particle accelerator ever conceived is now only days away from activation. Despite having been accused of everything from mis-managed engineering safety procedures to violation of the UN human rights act - implying a direct failure 'to take all possible precautions to preserve human life' - it looks like all systems are go at CERN and the lord of all red buttons is getting prepped for pressing.

Recently read a theory (may or may not have been Pilkington's) stating: its inevitable that the human race will reach a stage in technological innovation advancement and experimentataion where we will foolishly create an accidental super-massive black hole devouring our galaxy, consciousness and dimensiona as we know it. The author speculates that black holes viewable from hubble are warning signs to us re what has befallen other thus arrested potential forms of life in our universe... It does explain our failure to locate any other organic beings thus far.

Willi Ninja and Voguing

So Ladyhawk's not even that good, but according to blog city she has a good new song/single called Paris is Burning, which happens to be the name of this film from 1990 that is way more deserving of a post that Psuevie Nicks. It tells the tale of the art of "Voguing", and no, not Anna Wintour in a beret, but a form of dance. For those unaware of black homosexual culture of the late 80's early 90's meet Willi Ninja and the pioneers of creep circuit in its purest form.
Breakdancing for gays.

Jamie Durie

Matthew Barney

Bjork eats spaghetti nero, and built a baby with Matthew.

I don't what that would have been like, but in case you wondered what kind of bacon Matt brings home (when Bjork's you know, not making any......) to feed to his ever hungry less than ordinary spouse and their 6 year old potential child prodigy of a daughter, it's the kind of bacon that's found in a deli and comes pre-packaged with a foreign label. Even though you can't understand the language, you know it tastes good when you've fried it up and thrown some in ur caesar. It's cut from the heavy end of films like this.

Juergen Teller

I was about to do a post burning him hard for producing works like this:

Then i saw what he did with Bjork and spaghetti never looked so ill. Blacker than a Spike Jones film starring Wesley Snipes, the thin strands of pasta could not be more at odds with Bjork's pale Scandinavian complexion. Slurp it up like a cocker-spaniel in heat and in no time you'll find yourself liplocked and gasping for breath as Juergen Teller's photographs bring out the Tramp in Lady's worldwide.

Walter Benjiman re: Paul Klee's Angelus Novus

"... a storm is blowing in from Paradise; it has got caught in his wings with such a violence that the angel can no longer close them. The storm irresistibly propels him into the future to which his back is turned, while the pile of debris before him grows skyward. This storm is what we call progress."

The storm of progress, effected vocals running like light through a prism, colliding with the molten acid riffs of The Presets synthetic arsenal, releasing upon the unsuspecting winklepicker wearers of trendy clubs and festivals everywhere. The future of pop sonics.

You've all heard it released at Daft Punk/Laneway/Laneway via youtube.

Who the Fuck is STAIII?

Apparently some of our posted music has been dropped at 3rd Class really late, at around the time when you start feeling sick and you want to go but your friends don't.
Well, Melbourne DJ, you may have passed Staiii's first test of endurance, but do you have the balls to play these and stay standing up there in the booth?
